Landing in London!!!

Cheerio!

After my system not agreeing with the in flight dinner... I survived and have spent the day doing easy bus tours of the city.

I have to say I'm finding the city to make more sense than I expected.... And I already love it more than I imagined! I can't wait to walk around and hit a pub for dinner before a very welcome (and early) bedtime!

Tomorrow!!!

Tomorrow is the start of my adventures across the pond... Okay well not quite since I don't actually land until Wednesday but close enough!

I am mostly packed, but have all sorts of odds and ends to do in the morning.

Right now as I lay in bed... And can't fall asleep... I am overwhelmed with how lucky I am.

I hope that I will be able to post updates as I go along.

Secretariat

I am a sucker for horse movies, especially ones with happy endings (more on War Horse later...)

I got a copy of Secretariat for christmas and was reminded of the major clothes envy I have for that time period!

I've waited so Long, Longchamp!

I have a confession.

I just got my first Longchamp this Christmas! I have wanted one forever but have been unable to commit to a color... story of my life.

I finally settled on the new navy and found one under the tree!

I love that I can carry everything I need when in comes to planners, books, laptop, nook but makes me look a little bit more grown up.

It is also a major perk that it is no worse for the wear after its "baptism" in Coke Zero the first time I took it out :/.

I would not have survived finals without this perfect study break!

After hours of reading, twitter and facebook just make my eyes blurry. The pictures and layout became my own personal safe-haven.

Christmas break has been the perfect time to try out some of the fun things I've seen!

I seriously would never have thought to turn gingerbread men upside down to make reindeer! These were a result of a fun afternoon babysitting!

First Day

I love first days.

The first day of a new semester, the first day after thanksgiving (hello christmas music), the first day at a new job, the first day of vacation...

They all having the same anticipation, clean-slate feeling that you can't find anywhere else!

Today is my favorite first day of all.... The first day of the year!

I know that it is just another day in the winter months, but the idea that we all get a fresh start is rejuvenating and always makes me excited!

I know that we all make some resolutions, whether we admit them or not. So I thought I would share some of mine, so you all can keep me accountable :).

1. Be Brave! I'm about to embark on the overseas adventure of a lifetime but I need to keep saying yes to every opportunity I am presented with!

2. Be Open! I need to go out on a limb, there are so many wonderful people out there but how can I let myself fall if I never trust anyone to catch me?

3. Be Myself! I want to work on doing things that I want to do. I know lots of people who give great advice, and sometimes I forget that the one whose opinion matter the most is mine!
